COVID-19 UPDATES
MARCH 1st/2022
Effective Tuesday, March 1st, 2022 as per the government and public health:
▪ If you are not feeling well, have any Covid-19 symptoms or have been asked to isolate please stay home.
▪ Vaccine passports and photo ID will NO longer be required to enter the facility.
▪ Capacity restrictions are lifted.
▪ Please sanitize upon entry, socially distance where possible.
▪ Masks are still mandatory in the facility and restaurant, except when on the ice surfaces or seated in the restaurant.
▪ We are still asking skaters to only arrive 30 minutes prior to their rental and exit dressing rooms within 30 minutes after so we can avoid congestion in the hallways and make sure dressing rooms are cleaned & sanitized.
We are glad restrictions are being lifted but want to make sure we continue to do our part to provide a safe environment for our staff and customers. Your understanding and respect for the policies in place and the staff enforcing them is appreciated.

A MESSAGE FROM BUCKINGHAM SPORTS/CAMBRIDGE SPORTS PARK:
The global spread of COVID - 19 and now the new "Omicron" strain continues to affect every one of us and all business's. with the severity increasing, this has led to some very difficult decisions once again by the Government and Region of Waterloo Public Health.
On the orders of the Ontario Government and Region of Waterloo Public Health, Buckingham sports Properties will be following the new guidelines and will be closing the facility, effective Wednesday, January 5 at 12:01am. These measures will be in place for at least 21 days (until January 26)
We understand how disappointing this is to all of our customers and as well, disappointing to all our Buckingham Sports Staff.
We ask for your understanding & patience during this time as we work through our next steps of this temporary closure. We will be providing all customers affected by this closure an update in regards to their account, prepaid ice & re-bookings.
We want to thank our customers and our employees for their cooperation and understanding during these continued difficult times.

With the Waterloo Region now moving into the "RED Restricted Level" ALL Inside Edge Skating & Hockey programs are POSTPONED until further notice. We will keep you posted with any announcements including dates we will be returning to the ice.

NOVEMBER 19TH, 2020
Dear Inside Edge Families,
With the Waterloo Region moving into the "Orange Restricted Level" this does not change a lot for us program wise. However, we would like to remind parents of the following;
- only one parent/adult can accompany children (no extra family members)
- sanitize hands as soon as you enter building
- stay in change rooms until an Inside Edge representative lets you know when it is clear to leave the room
- no more than two people standing in the lobby watching
- observers must watch at an indicated spot around the rink or up to restaurant if purchasing something
- do not stand by the rink entrance or touch/open any doors
- no EXTRA bags, skaters MUST come dressed and with ONLY what they need
- MASK worn at all times by adults (no exceptions)
- skaters/children (5 yrs and old) must keep masks on at all times until they put helmet on
Our instructors are filling out a COVID questionnaire before each class, temperatures are taken and at this time they will be wearing masks for the duration of class.
We know these rules make each week more challenging but your co-operation is appreciated as we work together through these restrictions.

We want to touch base with an important update regarding our up-coming fall sessions!
With Stage 3 now in place as of July 17th/2020, Inside Edge and the Cambridge Sports Park are officially open for business! All Fall programs will be ready to go for their original start dates. Please click the registration links for more information.

JUNE 24th/2020:
Dear Inside Edge Community,
We’d like to start out by thanking you for the patience you have shown and for all of the support we have received over the past few months. We are excited to reconnect through sport and eager to get back on the ice safely this fall! Please note that our goal is to begin programs as scheduled, and updates will be provided over the coming months should there be any changes.
As we work towards our fall session, we would like to share our general return to ice guidelines for our programs. You can expect to see the following when your child returns to the ice:
- Mandated disinfecting of shared equipment
- Effective social distancing between participants and coaches
- Expectations relating to interaction in the dressing rooms and lobby
- Guidelines that address facility-specific requirements
Please note that responding to this pandemic has been and continues to be a fluid process and adjustments to any of these guidelines may come at any time. We will do our best to ensure that the steps we are taking are effective and relevant. Our ability to demonstrate that we can play safely and in a manner that satisfies local health authorities is critical to having your child play safely on the ice. This is a team effort!

MAY 1st/2020:
As we all know now the COVID-19 virus is in its pandemic stage. With our top priority being the safety and wellbeing of all participants and staff, Inside Edge must do our part to help when our nation is in crisis. Therefore, all programs will be put on hold until further notice. We will be speaking with the managers of the Cambridge Sports Park and reviewing what our government is recommending on a day-to-day basis. When your organization plays a role in the activities of families in the community it is hard to make the right decision with so many unknowns.
However, we can assure families that there will be skating and hockey once again and when that time comes Inside Edge and its team of staff will be ready to get back on the ice with you and your family doing what we love. Your patience is so greatly appreciated and we hope you and your loved ones are in good health during this challenging time.
