Intro to Figure Skating

Our newest program "Intro to Figure Skating" is aimed for skaters who have completed a level 2 or 3 Learn to Skate program and are looking to learn the basics of figure skating! This 50-minute program will focus on beginner elements such as backwards skating, edges, small jumps and turns, which is a great introduction for a skater looking to enter STAR-Level programs (similar to our Hockey Prep and Hockey Skills programs that prepare children for House League hockey).
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS:
- Figure skates
- CSA approved hockey helmet with full face protection. (Bicycle and ski helmets are NOT permitted)
- warm comfortable clothing and water proof pants
- thick mittens

*Ages are suggested on average performance. Skaters may be moved to a different class based on skill level.
