Intro to Figure Skating

Our newest program "Intro to Figure Skating" is aimed for skaters who have completed a Learn to Skate program and are looking to learn the basics of figure skating! This 50 minute program will focus on beginner elements such as backwards skating, edges, small jumps and turns, which is a great introduction for a skater looking to enter STAR-Level programs (similar to our Hockey Prep and Hockey Skills programs that prepare children for House League hockey).
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS:
- Figure skates
- CSA approved hockey helmet with full face protection. (Bicycle and ski helmets are NOT permitted)
- warm comfortable clothing and water proof pants
- thick mittens

*Ages are suggested on average performance. Skaters may be moved to a different class based on skill level.
